The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES), UNI Global Union, IndustriALL Global Union, and the German Trade Union Confederation (DGB) have been working together in the last 2 years to lay the foundations for a new Competence Centre for Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD) in global supply chains. The Competence Centre's mission is to strengthen the implementation of HRDD and other corporate accountability laws in global value chains and sustainably protect workers' rights worldwide.
The Centre’s official launch event will bring together key partners and stakeholders with an interest in building effective worker-centred models for human rights due diligence. It will be an opportunity to share the Centre's strategy and explore trade union and company priorities for building resilient and equitable value chains.
In panel discussions with representatives from politics, trade unions, and companies, political, practical, and worker perspectives from various value chains are discussed.
You will receive the Zoom link one day before the event begins.
