DESCRIPTION:The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES)\, UNI Global Union\, Industr
 iALL Global Union\, and the German Trade Union Confederation (DGB) have be
 en working together in the last 2 years to lay the foundations for a new C
 ompetence Centre for Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD) in global supply ch
 ains. The Competence Centre's mission is to strengthen the implementation 
 of HRDD and other corporate accountability laws in global value chains and
  sustainably protect workers' rights worldwide. \n\nThe Centre’s officia
 l launch event will bring together key partners and stakeholders with an i
 nterest in building effective worker-centred models for human rights due d
 iligence. It will be an opportunity to share the Centre's strategy and exp
 lore trade union and company priorities for building resilient and equitab
 le value chains.\n\nIn panel discussions with representatives from politic
 s\, trade unions\, and companies\, political\, practical\, and worker pers
 pectives from various value chains are discussed. \n\n\nYou will receive t
