Feminism, MENA and the Future of Work 03.03.2020 FES brings together feminists from across the MENA region to discuss ideas for a feminist vision of the Future of Work. Contact Person Image: Creator: FES Natalia Figge +49 30 26935-7499 Natalia.Figge(at)fes.de How will the Future of Work look like in the Middle East and North Adrica region. What do we need to address in order to ensure that women and marginalized groups benefit from emerging opportunities in the future world of work? And how can we ensure that the expected shifts in the economy due to climate change, digitalization and demographic change will not further widen the gender gap? A group of feminists from across the region is working together to answer such questions and formulate a feminist vision of the Future of Work: One that puts the workers and the planet at the center and denounces current capitalist and neoliberal economic systems, which are continuously generating economic inequalities in countries within the region.
