We are pleased to inform you that your project idea has been selected to the FES progressive democracy lab – congratulations! You are now invited to the kick-off-event of the progressive democracy lab, where you will meet 20 fellow innovators, our coaches, refine your idea and present your project. At this event, 5 ideas will be selected to attend the incubator phase.
It will take place at the headquarters of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung in Berlin, Germany, on 20 September 2024.
Please consider this email carefully with regards to your travel arrangements:
Please confirm your acceptance of this invitation by Wednesday, 20 June 2024, 6.00pm (CEST), and attach the completed booking form you will also find below.
If you are working in a team, remember that only one person from this team can take part in the event in Berlin. Please decide for yourself who this should be from your team.
Please plan your arrival for Thursday, 19 September 2024, evening at the latest and your departure for Saturday, 21 September 2024, morning at the earliest.
Accomodation is offered and reserved for you through Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung for 2 nights (19 – 21 September 2024). Feel free to extend your stay in Berlin but please note, that this should be organized and paid by you. If you do not need any accommodation at all please mark this accordingly in the booking form.
For all who travel from outside the European Union: we strongly urge you to swiftly get your visa-process started; if you need any help with that, please let us know as soon as possible. Do you e.g. need a letter of invitation? Keep in mind: visa-application can take a lot of time and you run the risk of missing out on the event otherwise.
- TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS BY TRAIN:
For all who live somewhat close to Berlin: for reasons of sustainability we strongly encourage you to consider taking the train. For all traveling within Germany, it is obligatory to take the train.
If you travel by train, please make your own travel arrangements, you will be reimbursed for all train and public transport expenses (note: train ticket 2nd class only; no cab, uber, or similar)
- TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS BY PLANE:
If you travel by plane: please get in touch with us (see booking form below), we will make the travel arrangements for you, as this is often a prerequisite for your visa application.
