Veranstaltungsnummer: 229371als .ics herunterladen

The journalist Kamal Chomani writes about the Kurdish regions in Iran, Iraq, Syria and Turkey. Due to his coverage of the independence referendum of the Kurdish region in Northern Iraq, as well as his articles about the repression of Kurds and the corruption in the political system, he was threatened with death several times in Iraq.
At the invitation of the ‘Hamburger Stiftung für politisch Verfolgte’, he currently lives in Hamburg and continues to write about the situation in the region from Germany.

In a discussion with Dr. Arzu Yilmaz from the "Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik", he reports on his work as a journalist and on current political developments and perspectives in the region.

Moderation: Charlotte Horn, freelance journalist
