The Internet in the Arab World: Playground for Political Liberalization
The new media are creating a dynamic of change that is eroding the legitimacy of traditional authority structures in the Arab countries. Ideas on relations between state, society, and the individual that have been accepted for generations are changing. The Internet is the medium in which such change is most vigorously expressed.
