Publications and Publication Series

The publications of the Global Policy and Development department and in particular the series Dialogue on Globalisation are intended to promote understanding of a global policy agenda and to further the public debate on future policy directions. We publish the following at irregular intervals and in various formats:

• Perspectives (around 4-6 pages)
  provide decision-makers, journalists and the general public with concise and expert background commentaries on core issues in particular areas of interest.
• International policy analyses (around 8-20 pages)
  offer detailed analyses of ongoing tendencies and key issues related to global governance.
• Studies (around 25-25 pages)
  provide empirical assessments of policy areas, as well as - in the form of country studies, regional studies or conflict studies - in-depth information, shaping the debate.

In addition, the series Compass 2020 - Germany's International Relations provides an overview, in 30 or so individual articles, on the most important topics and regions of German foreign relations.
