Regional Integration
In the wake of globalisation, African countries can play
a more significant role on the international stage when they are united in regional
organisations. The promotion and strengthening of regional organisations has become
a central parameter in the new ACP-EU relations. Until September 2003 the ACP
countries are supposed to define sub-regional groupings which shall conduct the
EPA negotiations with the EU.
