In the process of implementing the Cotonou Agreement, informed and prepared actors on part of the ACP countries are very much needed. The FES contributes to this process by informing and training its partners. The FES assists in networking, in establishing alliances, in developing strategies as well as in monitoring the EPA negotiations.
With impact assessment studies, the FES wants to stimulate a public debate on the social and economic costs and benefits of the EPAs for the African regions as well as to promote ACP expertise in trade policy.
The FES supports its partners on a national and regional level. The instruments of the FES are studies, publications, conferences, workshops, and training courses.
