Jochen Steinhilber
Jochen Steinhilber has been the head of the Global Policy and Development department since 1 July 2010. He is the contact person with regard to key development-policy issues and coordinates expert discussions on development policy. As a political scientist he has wide experience in the areas of Global Governance and Globalisation. Previously, he headed the FES office in Sao Paolo and was involved as a consultant in the project Dialogue on Globalisation at FES headquarters in Berlin.

Climate Change and Energy Policy
Nina Netzer
Nina Netzer is contact person for issues related to international climate change and energy policy in the department's Globalisation project. Previously, she worked at the FES EU office in Brussels and has led projects for the German Development Institute (GDI) in China, as well as in India and South Africa. She has a degree in political science from the University of Heidelberg and is a graduate of the GDI's post-graduate programme.

Manfred Oehm
Manfred Oehm is Management Representative for Quality and Evaluation in the FES International Development Cooperation. He also coordinates all activities with regard to Development Policy and Democracy. Manfred Oehm has a Master's degree in Political Science from the Universities in Freiburg and Kapstadt, South Africa. During 1999 and 2002 he worked as a research fellow at the Arnold Bergstraesser Institute for socio-cultural research in Freiburg. In 2003, he joined the FES as research staff and afterwards headed the FES offices in Sudan and Moçambique.

Disarmament
Henrik Meyer
Henrik Meyer is contact person for all issues regarding disarmament/non-proliferation. He coordinates the activities of the Working Group on Global Issues, as well as the Dialogue on Globalisation publication series. Henrik Meyer worked as a member of the research staff at the FES office in East Jerusalem/Palestinian Authorities during 2008 and 2011. Previously he studied Political Science, Middle Eastern Studies and Socio-Economic History at the Universites of Hamburg and Damascus. Henrik Meyer holds a Master's degree from the University of Hamburg.

Gender / Global Social Justice
Cäcilie Schildberg
Cäcilie Schildberg coordinates the Gender-Equal Approaches to Globalisation project. She also works on the issue of Global Social Justice and is responsible for the corresponding internet portal. Prior to this, she worked as an assistant in the FES Argentina office and conducted the European Seminars of the Academy for Social Democracy. Cäcilie Schildberg studied history, political sciences and romance studies at Ruhr-University Bochum and did her doctorate on a European policy subject.

Globalisation
Hubert Schillinger
Hubert Schillinger is the coordinator of the project Dialogue on Globalisation at FES Berlin. His work focuses on the areas of the Political Economy of Globalisation and International Social Policy. He was previously FES country director in Namibia, South Africa and Morocco, as well as FES project leader in Senegal and held different positions at the head office in Bonn. Hubert Schillinger is an economist with a degree from the University of Constance and a Master's degree from the Centre for Advanced Training in Rural Development (Seminar für ländliche Entwicklung) of the Technical University, Berlin.

Global Peace and Security Policy
Marius Müller-Hennig
Within the framework of the Globalisation project, Marius Müller-Hennig coordinates the Global Peace and Security Policy working line. He represents the FES as delegated team member in the Peace Development group (Friedensentwicklung or FriEnt). Previously, he worked at the FES bureau in Jakarta, Indonesia, as well as in the Western Industrialised Countries department at FES Berlin. Marius Müller-Hennig is a political scientist with an MA from RWTH Aachen University.

Human Rights
Britta Utz
Britta Utz coordinates international activities in the area of human rights. She represents the FES on various committees, including the Human Rights Forum, and is the editor of the Human Rights Handbook. Previously, she worked as project assistant at the FES bureau in Istanbul. Britta Utz studied at the University of Bremen and has a degree in political science. Before coming to the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, she graduated from the postgraduate programme of the German Development Institute.

International Trade Union Policy
Katharina Meier
Since April 2012, Katharina Meier coordinates the Global Trade Union Programme and FES activities regarding global trade union policy and international labor relations. Furthermore, she represents the FES in various working groups on social and labor standards. 2007-2012 she was head of the FES Uruguay office and of the Regional Trade Union Policy Latin America Programme. Prior to this, she worked as a coordinator in the Latin America and Caribbean department and as an assistant in the FES Brazil office. After completing her MA in Near and Middle Eastern Studies in London, Katharina Meier graduated from the postgraduate program of the German Development Institute (DIE).
